What we offer

Clean Ingredients

Small Batch

Long Burning

Wood Wicked

Toxin Free

House Blended Fragrance

Wicks

We only use wooden wicks

They are more sustainable than cotton wicks, as thousands of

wicks can be attained from a single tree.

They give off a crackle that's similar to a fireplace, and burn more

evenly and cleaner than cotton wicks.

Wood wick candles produce less soot than traditional wicks.

Benefits of Wood Wicks:

Ambiance

Cleaner burn

Sustainability

Your choice of candle doesn't have to be bad for the environment,

And it isn't just the wax and the container that you have to consider.

The wick itself can play a part in sustainability, and this is

one area where the benefits of a wood wick are clearer than ever.

Our Wicks help support TREES FOR THE FUTURE

Paraffin Facts

Paraffin waxes are actually petroleum based and are created using crude oil (also known as fossil fuel) which is extracted from the earth. On a molecular level, crude oil is a mixture of hydrocarbons that were created from the decomposition of plants and animals that lived under water many years ago. Once extracted, crude oil is sent to refineries where it is then turned into finished products like lubricating oil. It is from the lube oil refining process that paraffin waxes are created.

Paraffin wax is a natural product that has these general properties:

  • Non-Toxic - meaning that paraffin wax is not poisonous.

  • Excellent water barrier - paraffin wax is very good at repelling water and other liquids.

  • Clean-burning fuel source - meaning paraffin wax meets several requirements under federal regulations that classify it as clean-burning.

Colorless - meaning the wax itself does not contain any color and typically appears semi-translucent.

  * See my blog post on the debate between Paraffin and Soy.

*WE consider our company and products vegan, there is debate on the origin of paraffin.

Why we don't use Soy

Although, both soy and paraffin are clean burning.

One is plant based ( soy ) the other is a natural resource ( paraffin ) from the earth.

Why I personally do not use soy?  I am allergic to soy.

Working with it would be hazardous to my personal health. Soy is also bleached in it's processing.

Contrary to popular belief, soy wax candles can emit chemicals into the air as well. Over 90% of soybean crops in the United States are genetically modified and are grown using pesticides. Some soy wax manufacturers process their soybean oil to filter out any genetically modified material as well as any "potentially present herbicides or pesticides". However, there are no regulations to guarantee this process.

Not all soy wax manufacturers do this though, which means a good portion of soy wax candles have the potential to emit chemicals into the air from herbicides and pesticides.

I simply choose to make our candles in {Small Batches} with

{House Blended} fragrances and Coconut Beeswax.
