Some people leave behind songs. Some leave behind stories. Dolly Parton left behind a little more light in the world.
 
Dolly was created as our small tribute to a woman who showed generations of us that you could be strong and tender, glamorous and humble, funny and wise, deeply rooted in where you came from and still dream bigger than anyone thought possible.
Born in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, Dolly carried those mountains with her wherever life took her.
Family, faith, home, hard work and kindness remained woven through her story, even as that story grew from a one-room cabin into one of the most remarkable careers in American music. And perhaps most beautifully, she used her success to lift others along the way. 
 
We wanted this candle to feel the way Dolly so often made the world feel: warm, joyful, colorful and just a little sweeter.
 
Sweet Southern Sunday opens with warm cinnamon and rich brown butter, followed by sweet cream and vanilla. It has the nostalgic comfort of something wonderful baking in the kitchen on a Sunday morning, when everyone stays a little longer around the table and nobody is in much of a hurry to leave.
 
And of course, we gave her pink. We gave her stars. We gave her a little sugar and a little spice. Because subtle was never really the point. 💗
 
This candle isn't meant to capture a lifetime as big as Dolly's. No candle possibly could. It's simply our way of saying thank you to a woman whose music filled homes, whose humor made us smile, whose generosity put books into the hands of millions of children, and whose life reminded us that success shines brightest when you use it to bring a little light to somebody else.
Her Imagination Library remains one of the defining pieces of that philanthropic legacy. 
 
So light Dolly on a slow Sunday morning. Turn up a favorite song. Pour another cup of coffee. Wear the bright lipstick. Be kind. Dream bigger.
 
And leave a little sparkle wherever you go.
