The Blue Moose
Habitat: Sunny blueberry patches, old canoe trails, and cabin kitchens where dessert is cooling on the counter.
Favorite Activity: Leading everyone to "his" secret berry patch... even though everyone already knows where it is.
Known For: Blueberry-stained lips, full berry buckets, and always asking if there's enough whipped cream.
Disposition: Cheerful. Generous. A little sweet. Always welcome around the campfire.
 
Everyone knows Blue Moose.
 
If the berries are ripe, he'll find them first.
He wanders the old trails every July, quietly disappearing into the low blueberry bushes until all you can hear are birdsong and the occasional rustle of leaves. By afternoon, he's wearing purple around his nose and looking awfully pleased with himself.
 
The cabin kitchen is never far behind. Freshly picked blueberries tumble into a well-loved mixing bowl as cobbler bubbles away in the oven. Someone whips the cream, someone else sneaks a taste of the cheesecake filling, and before long the whole cabin smells like summer wrapped in butter and sugar.
 
Blue Moose has never been known to pass up dessert.
Frankly, neither should you.
